Overall, it’s been a learning curve, not just from my teammate but also from the other riders. Now, I need to process all this information and apply it to tomorrow’s race.”
Looking ahead, Oliveira faces another uphill battle in tomorrow’s Superpole. Starting from 21st, he must break into the top nine to improve his grid position for Race 2. It’s a daunting task, but not impossible.
“Climbing into the top nine in just 10 laps will be challenging,” he admitted. “It’s a short race, and anything can happen. Other riders will undoubtedly push for a faster pace. My strategy is to stay alert for any mistakes they make while also being aggressive with my overtakes. If I want a top-nine finish, I’ll need to take calculated risks.”
